Cool running and music that keeps me going lately.

By admin

Guess what guys — it’s freaking cold out. COLD. Like, really freaking cold.

I ran outside this morning for the first time in FOREVER. I’ve run outside, but not at the 5 a.m. crack of dawn like usual. As I stepped out of my car, I silently cursed the decision. Even as I faced Angie and Jeremiah, I contemplated leaving and going to Planet Fitness (I had extra clothes in my car). Because honestly, how was I going to get my legs to turn over at 7 – 7:30mm pace, when I couldn’t feel them!?

RX: 10mi. w/4 inserted at 7:00 – 7:30mm pace.

Mile 1 – 8:56
Mile 2 – 8:31
Mile 3 – 8:24
Mile 4 – 7:02
Mile 5 – 6:57
Mile 6 – 7:00
Mile 7 – 7:01
Mile 8 – 8:23
Mile 9 – 8:22
Mile 10 – 8:14

Well heck. I guess I got my legs turning, huh? I definitely didn’t really mean to go THAT fast, but maybe I kind of did because the last time I did this workout (on a treadmill) I averaged 7:04mm pace. I just hate the thought of regressing. Alas, it is what it is. Solid day of running.

I recently downloaded some new tunes and figured I’d share them with you guys. They’re keeping me happy and light this week!

m obsessed with Uptown Funk. I can’t get enough of it, honestly. Don’t hate it.

I can’t stop singing this song — all the time. ALL. THE. TIME. Again, #obsessed.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it literally, a trillion times (I feel like that’s almost an appropriate use of the word literally) — THE 90s IS A SERIOUSLY UNDERRATED GENRE OF MUSIC. There is nothing better.

Joe Nichols always has the sweetest lyrics. How can you not like him????? #precious

Obviously this is not a new download, just a shameless plug for Steven’s friend Sam, who is doing big huge gigantic things in the country music world these days. #checkhimout

That’s all for now folks!
