Monday Rhymes With Funday, But It’s Never Quite As Fun as Sunday…

By admin

Hey Frans, I hope y’all had a great Monday. Mine was jam-packed with work, work and work, but it’s actually been a pretty good day.

First off, it was great because it was an OFF day, and once again I have found myself in desperate need of such a day. I think it was especially helpful today because I worked until 6:30 p.m. and didn’t even make it home for lunch!

So, why such a good day? Well, for starters, a long day at the office usually means a really productive day, and I am always pretty pumped about productivity and accomplishing things. SO, I actually got quite a bit done today, work-wise… but I ALSO took a quick break for a personal endeavor as well!

YAY! The Southern TN Power Classic Marathon is this Saturday (Oct. 4) and I am RUNNING it.

I’m mildly terrified. I am in no way, shape or form prepared to run a marathon right now. BUT, I’ve been running long on Saturdays by myself for the past two weeks, and I just wasn’t pumped with the idea of doing another long run on my own. Jeremiah and Lynn are racing Saturday, and I just figure that I’d join them! We’re just going to drive on down there the morning of the race, and we should be back by 1 or 2 p.m., I would think? Steven has a football game Saturday night and I’m sure we’ll be home in plenty of time for that.

Anyways, I’m pretty pumped. This race gives me an excuse to chill out this week and really rest my legs like I need to. The plan is basically to just hang with Jeremiah at 7:00 – 7:10 pace for as long as humanly possible. If we crash, we crash. Such is life. I’m pumped!

The other great thing about today?!

My first televised viewing of Hocus Pocus of 2014!

Last year, I took the plunge and paid about $7.95 on Amazon for my very own Hocus Pocus DVD! BUT, I can’t bring myself to watch it until I see it on TV for the first time!

Well, tonight was the night! Lifetime — muchas gracias! I am absolutely DYING over this movie, as per usual…

“Sisters! Satan has married Medusa. See the snakes in her hair???”

“Behold! A torture chamber!”

“Now, tart-face, take your Clark Bars and get out of my house!”… “This…. is a chocolate-covered finger of a man named Clark!”

Oh gosh. Amok. Amok amok amok. I crack up every single time.

;)

Off to enjoy what’s left of my day/night! These 11 hour days will get the best of you if you’re not careful
